CreateSimulation Tool                     



Summary

Use the CreateSimulation tool to create a simulated data set based on a specific data sample. This tool uses the available information about a data set (noise samples or models, identified unit spike waveform templates, and unit firing characteristics) to generate a simulated data set that closely resembles a specific data set.

Details

The CreateSimulation uses the output of analysis by other tools to create a simulated data set. For example, the population of units in a specific data set may come from the output of the KMeansCluster tool. The unit firing characteristics could come from one of the point process tools, such as the FitPoisson tool. The output of one of the thresholding tools, such as WaterfillThresh, might be used to create a simulated noise sample.
