The mission of NeuroMAX.org is to provide the tools that
the neuroscience community is asking for. What tools would
you like to see developed? What analysis algorithms do you
currently use that you’d like to see incorporated
into NeuroMAX? We’d like to know!
So please send us an email at info@neuromax.org
and tell us about your ideas, your field of research,
and your impressions of NeuroMAX.
Or, feel free to call us at (805) 685-7770 to speak directly
to someone involved with the NeuroMAX project.
The following is a list of tools that are currently under
development for the NeuroMAX project:
QuantifyAccuracy:
Use a simulated data set as input to a spike sorting
procedure and quantify the accuracy of your sorting by examining
the miss and false alarm probabilities for each identified
unit.
GozaniFilter:
Use the spike sorting technique described by Gozani
and Miller (“Optimal discrimination and classification
of neuronal action potential waveforms from multiunit, multichannel
recordings using software-based linear filters.” IEEE
Transactions on Biomedical Engineering 41(4):358-372). This
technique has been shown to be able to resolve superpositions,
especially in low noise environments.
SaveAsMClust:
This utility will allow you to save your data in
a format that is compatible with MClust.
ImportFromMClust:
This utility will allow you to import data from
MClust to a Neuroshare compatible format used by NeuroMAX.
